I would like to welcome you to North Borough Junior School. We are a successful and popular school that ensures that every child is happy when they arrive at school in the morning and leaves smiling in the afternoon. Our aim is that each child enjoys and has a passion for learning in our caring and friendly school.
We are very fortunate to have a talented and creative group of teachers and teaching assistants who plan a curriculum that engages our pupils’ curiosity and enthusiasm for finding out new facts or deepening their understanding. Likewise, our teachers and teaching assistants provide a wide range of both lunchtime and after school clubs to develop pupils’ social skills, interests and talents too.
Both I and the staff have high expectations of behaviour. We have Core Values that underpin everything that we do at North Borough Junior School: Respect, Courage, Responsibility, Compassion and Wisdom. We expect every child to be kind, safe, responsible and for them to believe in themselves. We believe that pupils flourish with responsibility and praise. We have school prefects who act as excellent role models for our pupils and pupils have the opportunity to share their achievements during our weekly Gold Assembly.
I encourage parents/carers to be fully involved in the life of the school. We therefore welcome parents to volunteer, take part in organised activities and attend any open days and curriculum meetings.
I look forward to meeting and getting to know your child in the future. Should you wish to discuss any aspect of the school with me, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
